Trees and Guttering
On the Easter Weekend we planted some trees to keep the council happy. Due to the removal of an existing tree, we were required to replace it with 2 canopy trees. These are Lemon Scented Gums. This should help block out the nursing home behind us.
Tuesday the boys have almost finished the guttering and started preparing for the colorbond roof.
The site has been cleaned up too probably because the bricks are due to be delivered.

Have you turned your toilet to run parallel to the bathroom (so that when you walk up to it it is straight ahead and not tucked around)? Did you also extend BIR to bedroom 3 if this is the case? Can I ask to if you have different coloured windows (dark on the outside and cream on the inside)? Never seen that before! Thanks!
Hi Toni, You are right. We turned the toilet around and added in an extra door in Bed 3 WIR. Better use of the space. The windows are all cream. The front of the windows has black protective tape.
oh, of course - didn't think of the tape although I've seen it a hundred times on houses getting built..... Great idea about the toilet!! I never thought about that and having the extra wardrobe space......can never have too much of that! Ummm, I've just got my plans out, I really like your toilet idea..... my 5yo will be having B3 and she could do with that extra cupboard! Was the cost of those two alterations much? Thanks. Toni

The cost was $190 not much for an extra cupboard. Here is the details as per the variation.
Refer to sheet 4 of Contract Drawings - Provide alterations to upstairs W.C and Bedroom 3 robe as per sketch 'A' 1 dated 20th July 2007. Including: - Relocate standard W.C. door to approx. 1700mm from external wall. - Relocate standard Pan & Cistern to external wall. - Provide additional 620mm Hinged Only Flush Panel door to Bedroom 3 Robe. - Provide additional painted partical board shelving and chrome hanging rod to extended Bedroom 3 robe.
