Lots of progress

There has been a heap of progress this week. We have had the heating, evaporative cooling and the vacuum installed. The rear alfresco\rumpus roof almost finished. The walls upstairs have been straightened. The electrical work, including the phone and tv points are complete. Many more bricks have been laid. We now even have a couple of doors. It wont be long before lockup.....

This might be the next area to be bricked.
The aircon is pretty big.
Looking good.
The fridge voids have been modified to be different heights. Our SS is very helpful. We didn't pay for the upgraded stairs, so it looks like the ladder is all we are going to get.......
Laundry door. One of the first jobs moving into the house after the flooring is to install a cat door. Nothing worse than letting the cat in and out 20 times a day.
The additional garage access door.
Not much space left in the roof...
Looks like this is where the bath will be.

Great pictures! Love looking at them. Your cooling unit is in a totally different place to our - it seems you have a vent on the highest point where unit is. It's difficult for us to look at yours as everything is reversed - it seems that you are having a sink in the pantry. What will go in the holes under the stairs? We've gone for the drawers (as they had in the display home). I gather it's for fridges?

I think you might be catching us. Things have slowed down a bit at our place.
Cheers

Hi Bernadette & Perry,
The shorter void under the stairs is for the freezer that we already have. The taller void will be for a drinks fridge down the track.
I'm a bit disappointed where they put the air con, it is very noticeable from the street, would have been much better on the other side of the house.
Yes, there is a small sink in the pantry, good place to hide those saucepans that need extra soaking/scrubbing :-)
Things are still progressing well, chippies were busy this morning. Should be lock up by end of week I think.

Wow - looking great! We went for refridgerated air con, so I'm wondering if we'll have a big unit on our roof, or if it's different....will have to ask DH tonight, and consider where that, or any other roof mounted thing might go!

We had to have our fridge space made higher, too, to accommodate the big fridge/freezer we bought before we signed up!As a result, I don't think I'm going to be able to pull the overhead cupboard door above the fridge back down when I open it!!!I'm not THAT short, either - it's just high!

About the ladder - look at it this way - the kids (aka "mini m&ms") will think a ladder is much more fun than stairs...then you'll be glad you didn't pay to upgrade the stairs.....gee, I should have thought about that myself when we chose our stair case.....!!!!
