Quantum Quartz Benchtops

Our benchtops were installed on Friday. Very happy to have this as part of the promotion at the time. We expected the QQ to be install at a much later time. The splashback needs to be measured up after the QQ is installed. Apparently the splashback has a long turnaround time from when being ordered.

The plasterers were working Friday night and were back today finishing and fixing all the items from the BSS inspection. I must admit that there has been quite a numbers of items found by BSS. This is an important inspection prior to the painting. The more issues found now the less issues later on.

There is MDF covering the QQ, We took some of it off just for these photos.

The Quantum Quartz is New Diamond White.
The pantry sink.
The extra shelf has been added.
The Alfresco eaves have been done.
The extra wood above the doors when painted will finish the area.
Picture taken from the far corner of the block.

Bench tops look great! Love New Diamond White, it was one of two colours we liked. They (NDW and Ice) both looked great in the big slabs at NT. NSW looks great with the Moleskin, you must be very happy. Love the outside pic too. Bricks look great and very clean, are you having any render? Good idea about the 4th shelf in pantry, we've done the same. Have you altered the width of your pantry? What are you putting in between the cupboard under the sink and the support piece? Sorry for all the Q's! Toni

Looks great ! I love the light colours. The kitchen looks bright too - with lots of sunlight !

I hope you've allowed for some niches on a feature wall to put the M&M family into !?!?

I think I'm taking the credit for referring to "mini M&Ms" first, too!!!
I absolutely love your kitchen - that Moleskin is a great colour, nice & bright and clean looking - in fact everything at your place is coming together beautifully! Oh, and that last post of yours was fantastic - the best one I've seen of any so far!

Looking fantastic! What a nice bright kitchen. We too were surprised that the benchtops went in so early. Like your sink in the pantry. We decided not to go for it (only because of cost!). Cheers.

Both you and Perry have had the cabinets and benchtops installed - it's gonna be a close finish. (nice colours BTW)

Hi All, Thank you all for the comments.
Toni, The pantry is the same size. We are going to remove the bottom shelving and replace with cupboards which were from our old kitchen. We have some drawers and the corner cabinet for the end and double cupboards for the rest. All we will need to do is replace the door with moleskin to match. The old ones are a cream colour.

We are not having any render. We may consider it in the future. Over Christmas the house will be covered in Christmas lights. The balcony will be great to hang santa from.

Petal - Credit to you for the 'Mini M&M'

B&P - The pantry sink is to soak the pots after Martita has used them! :-)

You're a brave man, Mike - having a swipe like that (about the pots)with a pregnant wife !

Roger that, the cupboards in pantry will look great. Good idea. I think your house looks great as it is, certainly blends nicely into your street. Can't wait to see what you do with the front yard - it's huge!!! What's the distance between fence and porch?
Steve soaks my roasting pan .....he's the dishwasher! But we do have a rule, if it can't go in the dishwasher then it can't be used ;)
Santa will look great! Roll on Christmas, baby for you, house for me (if it's finished). I've said all along that I need to look at our house being built the same as a pregnancy and it's too long! Least I won't have morning/noon/night sickness this time :)

There's about 16 metres from the fence to the balcony. We hope to put a shed\garage on the fence side in the future. Then I'll have a workshop for us boys to have a drink, - er fix things.

Or hide in when Marita gets to the end of her pregnancy and "has had enough" or later on when the baby just won't go to sleep! Endless reasons for having an outdoor workshop hehehehe.
