Stairs and Cabinets

Today the garage roof frame had been delivered and also the cabinets. Yes the cabinets too! The only problem is it was too dark to check them out. We took a few photos in the dark and when we got home loaded them up to see what they looked like. We discovered that the vanity basins were also there. So what color are the cabinets you ask.

The kitchen cabinets are 'Moleskin' which is a white and the bathrooms and laundry are in 'Swiss pear'.

Here is the frame for the roof below and the rubbish next to it. The scaffolding was taken away today and tomorrow the site might be cleaned up. There has been a lot of rain and the place has turned to mud.
And I was so use to going up and down the temporary ladder...

The cabinets fill the kitchen and dining area. We could hardly move in there.
All the plaster has been sanded and the PD 24\7 has it marked as complete. There is still a few areas which still need to be plastered like the stairs and also the niches have been missed.

Did Rita or Mike write the blog today, because I'm not sure if we should believe you with the colour names ?
They could well be `Mission Brown', `Riversand' or `Hot pink'.

The scaffolding's gone ?? I was looking forward to a photo of the big unveiling. I guess we have to wait for a daylight photo for that ! We'll have to do a drive-by again soon.

You are catching us quickly. I'd even go so far as to say that if you take into consideration that you started a week behind us, you are probably in front now.

Bern was adamant that our stairs be polished timber - she doesn't go for carpet on the stairs.

I'll be dropping by our place today to see if anything has happened!

Great to see things coming along.

Hi CC, Mike writes all the posts, I just go back in and correct the spelling later on :-) And there is no way I would ever allow Mission Brown or Riversand in my house after all the years at mum and dad's.
Have to wait for the weekend for a daylight photo, Mike gets home from work too late during the week now.
Hi B&P, Our SS is working hard to catch you guys but I'm sure we will hit some delay soon...
Mike was actually the one who wanted carpet on the stairs which I was surprised at because he likes the timber look, he said it would hurt less if you fall down them!
